Alman Inc. is a flying club that has been in operation since 1945. Alman flying club offers its members an economical opportunity to fly high performance aircraft for business and pleasure. The club operates two Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft; a 1979 Bonanza A 36 and a 1992 Bonanza F33. Both aircraft are IFR equipped (including WAAS enabled Garmin GNS 530W) and are hangared at Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport (KTMB) in Miami, Florida.
Club membership is limited to 25 individuals. Each member owns an equal interest in the corporation.
Our club is the most economical way to fly a high performance Bonanza! Scheduling is handled by an internet based system (ScheduleMaster).
In addition to satisfying FAA requirements, club bylaws require that each member fly with a club designated check pilot annually and anytime a member has not flown a club aircraft for 90 consecutive days.
The club Engineering Officer monitors all maintenance issues and coordinates with contract maintenance facilities. Club aircraft are always maintained to the highest standards. Further, the aircraft are regularly taken to maintenance clinics sponsored by the American Bonanza Society for inspection by nationally recognized Bonanza experts. A report is published to all members monthly.
The club Operations Officer monitors all members’ status regarding FAA medical certificates, FAA flight reviews, annual checks, 90 day checks and night flight qualification, in addition to vacation reservations and all applicable insurance requirements. A report of these items is published to all members monthly.
The club is financially sound due to supervision and oversight by the Treasurer. Annual budgets are prepared and approved by the members with continuous monitoring by and quarterly reports from the Treasurer. An engine overhaul/maintenance reserve fund is also maintained to assure that the aircraft can always be kept in airworthy condition. Members are sometimes assessed for unusual maintenance issues or equipment upgrades.
New member check-outs, currency and other required and elective training is handled by certified flight instructors with extensive Bonanza experience and who are current and former club members. There are currently four such designated check pilots. Members who desire to obtain additional ratings or certificates may utilize instructors other than club check pilots, but all initial check-out and club required currency flights must be performed by club designated check pilots. Further, all outside instructors must have Bonanza experience and satisfy club insurance requirements.
